The superb quality of the book is that the number of examples presented for an advanced grammatical structure is a function of the structure's importance. Unlike other books, if the structure is very important Mr. Astington may furnish as many as 10 examples. This tells the reader that he or she must be comfortable with this structure if they are to speak French on an advanced level. It is a tragedy that this book is out-of-print.
