Yukos, 1999. — 126 p.This text was prepared as part of the Reservoir Enhancement Initiative started in Yukos in 1999, and is intended to be a practical guide and reference manual for the specialists and management involved in the initiative. This text contains the necessary essentials for the design, surveillance and management of waterfloods.
In preparation of this text, focus is placed on simple-quick techniques that are useful on a daily basis to manage a waterflood. Often, in recent literature, the more exotic and time consuming study based analysis are discussed. To this end, I have developed this manual, which is a collection from various references and my own experiences. It contains the most pertinent techniques necessary to manage a waterflood, emphasizing a simple-quick approach.
Working through the examples and problems presented in this text will provide the readers with the basic tools and techniques necessary to manage a waterflood.
